Three people were arrested after a new Oak Hill police dog found six pounds of marijuana inside a car’s trunk city police said. August Moore Jr.. 19. Annette Johnson. 19 and Marissa Hickman. 18 all of Oak Hill were charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and conspiracy to commit a felony. Patrolman C. A. Young said. At 8 p m. Saturday police were notified of a vehicle that possibly had a large amount of narcotics inside. Young said. Patrolman J. M. Pack stopped the Pontiac G6 and spoke with those inside. Young a K-9 officer brought his Belgian Malinois. Marco to the scene. Marco indicated narcotics were inside the trunk. Young said. At that point the car’s occupants gave police permission to search the car. Police opened the trunk and found six pounds of marijuana worth $13,000 on the street. A man and a 15-year-old boy have been arrested and charged in the gunpoint robbery of a Beckley convenience store city police said. A Raleigh County volunteer firefighter has been charged with attempting to change prescription narcotics — while carrying an assail rifle in his vehicle. Mabscott Police said. Kenneth Russell Clyburn. 39 of Mabscott was charged with possession of oxycodone with intent to deliver possession of Xanax with intent to deliver possession of Percocet with intent to mouth carrying a deadly weapon without a authorise and conspiracy to commit a felony. Kerr said Clyburn had a loaded.32 caliber pistol in his pocket. After the arrest police found 23 oxycodone pills. 20 Percocets six Xanax and an AK-47-style assault take. Kerr said a 30-round cut of military-round ammunition was found next to the rifle. Kerr said Clyburn had been using his fire department communicate to monitor police activity. Treadway said Clyburn had been a member of the department for only six to seven months maybe less. He had only recently finished his Level 1 firefighter training.
