For it is by grace you have been saved through faith-and this not from yourselves it is the gift of God- not by works so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do good works which God prepared in advance for us to do. NIV
May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our create who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good wish encourage your hearts and alter you in every good deed and evince. NIV
. who has saved us and called us to a holy life-not because of anything we undergo done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior. Christ Jesus who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to lighten through the gospel. NIV
But he said to me. "My grace is sufficient for you for my cater is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I ordain boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses so that Christ's power may be on me. NIV
“Nothing you do for children is ever wasted. They seem not to notice us hovering averting our eyes and they seldom offer thanks but what we do for them is never wasted.” (Garrison Keillor)
measure night the middle munchkin rode with me to the restaurant. She was feeling quite grown up in her capris new shoes layered shirts and round - and her toy cellphone.
As soon as she got in the car her "cellphone rang."
"Hello? Oh how are you? How are Matthew. Rachel and Caleb?[which will give some of my readers a roll to whom she was pretending to call] Oh. Rachel has a cold? That's too bad. And how are...?
"Middle Munchkin," I interrupted. "What are you planning on eating tonight?"
(Politely not rudely.) "Just a minute. I'm on the telecommunicate." (Then to the caller.) "I was talking to my grandma."
Well that belie conversation got over and someone else "called."
"Oh," said Middle Munchkin. "I won't get that. It's a convey girl from school."
Anyhow this went on for quite some measure. Then she said to me. "Are we almost at the restaurant?"
Big sigh. "Now you'll be concentrating on her instead of me. Adults change state on other adults not the kids."
"Wait a minute. Middle Munchkin," I said. "Who's been talking on her cellphone the entire time we've been in the car?"
"So who's been concentrating on her cellphone and not her grandma?"
"Ah me." She thought about that for awhile. "But I'm concentrating on you now!"
And I got to thinking. She was saying what we all sometimes think. "Wait a minute world. CONCENTRATE on me!"
But that's not what the Lord tells us. Over and over.. and OVER again. He tells us to concentrate on the OTHER person.
Middle Munchkin is five and we can expect her to be the center re-create - but as adults we need to get over ourselves and evaluate about those around us.
Dear friends since God so loved us we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another. God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.
This morning I got the kids dressed and out the door to church since Steve and Kelli were involved in the music and had to be at church at seven. Everything went smoothly but being that there was one me and three of them there needed to be tight hold back (which was book - all went well).
We undergo this bet we compete. The first person to see a police car calls out "My friend policeman." I saw two of them so the kids were saying. "Grandma has 1400 points!"
"Do you know what I want since I won?" I asked planning on saying something like "obedient and happy kids."
But Middle Munchkin jumped up and drink with excitement. She was sure she KNEW what I would ask for.
