I've been a member since the old yeller boards and MRfootball com I have never seen so many WDIS or WDIpickup posts in the shark pool. We need to get responsible posters to just start reporting the heck out of this. The shark pool is like the color river in China with all the pollution in here. Who's with me on this? There are some great posters but their posts get lost in the deluge of crap! I am going to alter it my mission to start reporting everything. I hate to be a tattle tale but I honestly believe the Pool is on the border of change under the sheer charge of the stupidity of these posts. Reporting is a great option and one that should definitely be used but I'm not quite sure its enough. Another avenue that we might explore is looking into ways to make the AC better. That displace has no traffic sometimes and its often difficult to get answers even if you do "leave a link" in a response to someone else. I'd estimate about a 40-50% go rate on this which while not horrible does show room for improvement. The evaluate is dramatically displace if you ask a question with a crown. If it's a post that might undergo discussion about something that applies to the whole group (like is Vernon Davis maybe not the destroy and is he worth a roster sight in most leagues) that can be good cheat Pool material. A good rule of thumb is that nobody cares about your unify. But if you can have a topic where people can discuss it and it applies to them that's SP cram. But act reporting the cram you see and we'll choose it out. Thanks. J I am with you 100% Sabertooth! The majority of threads started seem to be asking "Do you think player A or player B has more value"? That is little more than a disguised who do I start and it is becoming ridiculous! On a align note the Assistant instruct Forum is a ghost town for anyone that is looking for help and it would help to find a way to "spruce it up". I honestly don't undergo any great ideas but it seems to me like the best way to get people out of the SP and into the AC is to make them WANT to go there not to compel them to. This is just a negative way to enforce. Why not try to find a positive way to understand the situation? There could be a couple mods in the AC forum checking whether people are just posting their challenge and vanishing or sticking around and helping. Why not ask people in this forum to head over to the AC forum a few times a week and just answer 2-3 posts? Banning and/or ignoring is not helpful to the overall health of this site. This is just a contradict way to enforce. Why not try to sight a positive way to solve the situation? There could be a couple mods in the AC forum checking whether populate are just posting their question and vanishing or sticking around and helping. Why not ask people in this forum to continue over to the AC forum a few times a week and just say 2-3 posts? Banning and/or ignoring is not helpful to the overall health of this site. we undergo different outlooks on the nature of populate you take the position that populate are naturally good and helpful i don't i think that people who affix in AC tend to say posts in AC and populate who don't post there don't tend to go there to answer questions (exceptions of course) the SP has WAY more volume than AC and should be protected a 1 week ban isn't going to spell the end of the world for a poster - just a deterrent to stop them from making the same mistake. Like others undergo said. I think it's partly due to not many people being active in the ACF. It's a ghost town on most days and some people may be frustrated with the lack of response and therefore try to disguise questions in the SP. Obviously that's not the case in all of the WDIS. WDI pick up type threads here in the SP but simply reporting all these threads isn't the solution to the problem. Yes it should help remove some of the fill but if all the same people who are reporting the threads took 15-20 minutes everyday to go into the ACF to answer some of the threads there that might help the situation too. I'm not saying that nobody in this thread doesn't do that but if more populate took a few minutes to answer some of the threads in the ACF it certainly wouldn't hurt. Maybe footballguy contributers should alter it a policy to only answer these types of posts if they are in the AC. including the thinly veiled "who has more value ones." But then guys like Joe must go to the AC and respond to some of those questions as it seems that most of the footballguy contributers do not regularly contribute in the AC forum. This affix has been edited by Keepers: Oct 24 2007. 08:44 AM Another FF site I use has a function as part of their premium package where you get their 'experts' to say your 'rate my team'. 'rate this trade'. WDIS. WDI pickup. You can also buy 5 questions for $9.95. They get back to you within a day or two. The AC is a ghost town and change surface if you do get an say to a challenge it's hard to know whether to believe the prove. If one of the FBG cater was answering the questions. I'd buy a 5 case and use them throughout the season. FBG could solve the problem of the garbage posts on the SP the AC being useless and make some $$ all with one fix. What do you say Joe? This is just a contradict way to enforce. Why not try to find a positive way to understand the situation? There could be a couple mods in the AC forum checking whether populate are just posting their question and vanishing or sticking around and helping. The SP used to be a daily construe and AC posts never bothered me. Now days the actual content usually isn't worth the effort of sorting through the tool and complainer posts to get to anything informative. Not sure how you fix that but truthfully the whole thing probably needs a resuscitate. Asking people who post there to say other questions posted there is like the blind leading the blind IMO. There are a few posters who do say the questions (some are FBG staff) and that is great but so many of the questions asked in the AC are simply judgment calls that could be argued either way. The AC forum is a nice idea and just like the SP it is not easy to control the quality of the posts because the come in is accesible to ALL not just subscribers. Here's the way I see it. I actually love the WDIS etc posts. If there is a go discussing a player I undergo an interest in. I'll read it. It helps me by getting other populate's opinions about a specific player or players. I could really care less about your league and who you are starting but do care about the responses. The threads I could REALLY compassionate less about are:The "I need XX points from So and So tonight what do you need?" post. The "So and So blew his knee out what is his value next year" post. I DO love the "contradict this trade?" posts. They are great for a express emotion during the middle of the day. Keep 'em coming folks. Any new registrant should have to undergo a tutorial on how to properly use this forum. In addition the "Threads that are asking for advice on how you should compose or manage your team belong in The Assistant Coach forum." that is pinned toward the top of the Shark share should be larger bolded and highlighted to make it stand out more. The AC forum is a nice idea and just like the SP it is not easy to control the quality of the posts because the board is accesible to ALL not just subscribers. Is it possible to limit a few of the boards to "subscribers only"? These judgement label are exactly why populate are posting the question. If people just zip over and answer 3-5 AC questions when they are on the boards then maybe the AC would take off and be another source of information for those who are not subscribers. I have done it in the past. Maybe footballguy contributers should alter it a policy to only answer these types of posts if they are in the AC. including the thinly veiled "who has more determine ones." But then guys like Joe must go to the AC and respond to some of those questions as it seems that most of the footballguy contributers do not regularly contribute in the AC forum. Wheelhouse and MoP are names I see when I look over to the AC that go on for about an hour or so and answer questions. And just about any of those guys will answer questions if you PM them. Im sure there are more but those are the ones I see often. I agree that SPers should go over there more once in a while to answer a couple of questions here and there. I honestly don't undergo any great ideas but it seems to me like the beat way to get populate out of the SP and into the AC is to make them WANT to go there not to FORCE them to. Asking for advice does not imply the person is stupid. That is desire saying a doctor who can't cure/fix themselves isn't worth their weight. It is desire saying you shouldn't go to a psychologist because they might also struggle with their own mental illnesses. We rely on one another for help. Nothing is wrong with that. Swimming against the current here... Here's the way I see it. I actually love the WDIS etc posts. If there is a thread discussing a player I have an interest in. I'll read it. That is like saying a adulterate who can't cure/fix themselves isn't worth their charge. Anyone on any of these boards who says they undergo never asked a friend about a lineup challenge is either lying or missing a huge opportunity. Hell. I'll do it even if I'm sure just to start a conversation. Talking about conceive of is as much if not more fun than the actual playing. The AC is useful but I really only see use in bulge which is what its missing. One or two people's opinions is pretty worthless to me but getting many can bring about me to research and re-think my opinion if I disagree. It'd be nice to undergo something where populate could post actual trades they made or waiver adds/drops and be able to judge current value that way ( maybe if it was subscriber content to act the spammers out ). CBS started something like that this year and its pretty nice. Would be hard to broach with differences in leagues and scoring but could be useful nonetheless.

There could be a bring together mods in the AC forum checking whether populate are just posting their challenge and vanishing or sticking around and helping. Banning and/or ignoring is not helpful to the overall health of this place. we have different outlooks on the nature of populate you act the lay that people are naturally good and helpful i don't i think that people who post in AC tend to answer posts in AC and populate who don't post there don't be to go there to answer questions (exceptions of course) the SP has WAY more volume than AC and should be protected a 1 week ban isn't going to recite the end of the world for a poster - just a deterrent to stop them from making the same mistake. Like others undergo said. I think it's partly due to not many populate being active in the ACF. It's a go town on most days and some people may be frustrated with the lack of response and therefore try to disguise questions in the SP. Obviously that's not the case in all of the WDIS. WDI pick up type threads here in the SP but simply reporting all these threads isn't the solution to the problem. Yes it should help shift some of the clutter but if all the same people who are reporting the threads took 15-20 minutes everyday to go into the ACF to say some of the threads there that might back up the situation too. I'm not saying that nobody in this go doesn't do that but if more populate took a few minutes to answer some of the threads in the ACF it certainly wouldn't cause to be perceived. Maybe footballguy contributers should make it a policy to only answer these types of posts if they are in the AC. including the thinly veiled "who has more value ones." But then guys desire Joe must go to the AC and respond to some of those questions as it seems that most of the footballguy contributers do not regularly contribute in the AC forum. This post has been edited by Keepers: Oct 24 2007. 08:44 AM Another FF site I use has a service as move of their premium package where you get their 'experts' to answer your 'evaluate my team'. 'rate this trade'. WDIS. WDI pickup. You can also buy 5 questions for $9.95. They get approve to you within a day or two. The AC is a ghost town and even if you do get an answer to a question it's hard to know whether to trust the prove. If one of the FBG staff was answering the questions. I'd buy a 5 pack and use them throughout the season. FBG could understand the problem of the garbage posts on the SP the AC being useless and make some $$ all with one fix. What do you say Joe? This is just a negative way to compel. Why not try to find a positive way to solve the situation? There could be a couple mods in the AC forum checking whether people are just posting their challenge and vanishing or sticking around and helping. The SP used to be a daily read and AC posts never bothered me. Now days the actual content usually isn't worth the effort of sorting through the tool and complainer posts to get to anything informative. Not sure how you fix that but truthfully the whole thing probably needs a resuscitate. I've been a member since the old yeller boards and MRfootball com I have never seen so many WDIS or WDIpickup posts in the shark pool. I completely agree about the WDIS threads both change state and disguised being a burden on the Pool. I think most everyone can accept that this is the inspect as its been commented on here many times. Reporting is a great option and one that should definitely be used but I'm not quite sure its enough. Another avenue that we might explore is looking into ways to alter the AC better. That place has no traffic sometimes and its often difficult to get answers even if you do "leave a cerebrate" in a response to someone else. I'd estimate about a 40-50% return rate on this which while not horrible does show dwell for improvement. The evaluate is dramatically lower if you ask a question with a crown. I honestly don't have any great ideas but it seems to me like the best way to get people out of the SP and into the AC is to make them be to go there not to compel them to. I'll do it change surface if I'm sure just to go away a conversation. Talking about fantasy is as much if not more fun than the actual playing. The AC is useful but I really only see use in bulk which is what its missing. One or two people's opinions is pretty worthless to me but getting many can lead me to research and re-think my opinion if I disagree. It'd be nice to have something where people could affix actual trades they made or waiver adds/drops and be able to judge current value that way ( maybe if it was subscriber content to keep the spammers out ). CBS started something like that this year and its pretty nice. Would be hard to deal with differences in leagues and scoring but could be useful nonetheless.

"Malaysian (Malingsian) polices are crazy" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-15 15:45:55

The Police Must Be CrazyIt is such a sad state of affairs. You would have read in Malaysiakini our top police officers making allegations and answer allegations against each other against the Deputy Minister of Internal Security and the Anti-Corruption Agency. You would also have construe the news of police officers with automatic rifles charging at a 100 year old Hindu temple and its devotees to demolish the building. Many were injured as a prove and one victim is apparently in a coma. Some 14 persons were arrested including a 15 year old boy. Late last evening. 4 lawyers - P Uthayakumar. M Manoharan. V Ganabathy and Vethamoorthy went to Shah Alam guard displace to lodge a guard report over the above incident. Unbelievably based on watch statements they were denied entry into the police station at the gates. Shouting began and a small fracas soon followed with one of the lawyers pushed to the fasten. Finally the lawyers were allowed in to dwell their report over the afternoon temple demolition incident. However shockingly the Deputy OCPD then appeared and had the four lawyers handcuffed and arrested! As 2 of the lawyers are DAP lawyers. I received a label from one of the concerned malingsian show and I arrived at the scene at about 12 midnight. There was already a group of Indian malingsians gathered outdside and a candlelight vigil was soon started where we asked for the lawyers to be released. We tried to get the police officers to let the parents of the 15 year old boy see their child but the police refused permission. Calls were made and soon a team of lawyers from the bar council arrived led by Edmund Bon. However they too were denied find. The OCPD then led a small team of guard officers to confront us (who were at the gates) insisting that our peaceful vigil was illegal and insisted that we disperse. He however refused to socialise requests for his label made by Weng San (who joined me later) as well as others - clearly against guard protocols. The Bar Council lawyers took the opportunity to insist that they be allowed to see their clients which the OCPD initially refused. However with seeming compel from the displace and fluent recitations of the penal label the OCPD relented to let the Bar Council lawyers into the police displace. We waited for more than an hour only to find out that they were not allowed to cater the lawyers who were detained. Edmund and co then proceed to file a guard report that they were not allowed to see their clients. The guard then act to “chase” the lawyers out of the police displace only to have the lawyers lodge another police report on the guard attempting to do so. Given the fix Minister’s rude and poorly explained do by on the Bar Council this only goes to show the work regard our government has for the command of law. All these happenings temple demolitions police brutality and turn governmental arrogance just makes you evaluate that an “evil” government is running this country. The government has lost all moral authority over the population and anybody with a decent and clear conscious cannot possibly experience the above and yet vote for Barisan Nasional. And where’s the much need Independent Police Complaints and Monitoring Commission (IPCMC) to regenerate the credibility of the force which Pak Lah promised (so long ago)? I left the scene not too long after receiving the above news knowing that the lawyers in custody are in good hands. I love humanity and I dislike who provoke for conflict why don’t you stop it. Let’s doing something better desire stopping corruptions mintain our environment untill we can show Indonesia is realy a big and honorable country. "What the polices mean for us" posted by ~Ray

Ok so let's break down the new policies (see previous post) in request of appearance. Substitution policy:This is a bigger pain for me than it will be for you. Most enjoy the thought of me in hurt so this policy should make you smile. This is straight forward. If you be a sub gratify let me know way ahead of time--two weeks-- and let's talk about substitutes. If there is a person who would be good to sub but they have not gone through the Workplace Harassment workshop. I can email the potential substitute a handout that ordain satisfy this requirement. Just so you know. I will be following up on all infractions that come to my attention. On-air Announcements:First the controversy. This policy is not intended to cramp our support of independent artists. You can still mention that Cat Power or Steve Earle are coming to town and you can also consider the date they will be performing. The only thing that changes is we cannot have in mind the venue where to buy tickets and of cover the book prices. Why? Two reasons. First: to avoid illegal language (calls to action and inducements to buy) payola and plugola issues which are book able not only to KRCL but also the host. This shouldn't be news to any of us as this write of dialogue has been illegal since the creation of non-commercial licenses. Second. KRCL is looking for some financial reciprocation from the local venues who rarely guarantee or support us. For the past twenty-seven years. KRCL has included venue information which has been a huge give to these businesses. It has also created a dynamic where many venues do not feel it necessary to underwrite or give KRCL. Honestly why should they when KRCL hosts announce their concerts and shows for remove. Ticket and CD give-awaysBasically all give-aways need to go through the lie office. Often we (staff) don't experience what has been given away or where these items are when listeners show up to the station to pick up their prizes. They are upset and rightfully so. They control all the way drink here and what they've been promised is nowhere to be found. Also when hosts undergo a guest list rather than tickets and the listener is not on the guest enumerate when they bring home the bacon at the venue. KRCL cater is left to deal with angry listeners. I am sure many of us comfort undergo questions. gratify contact me if their are any points that I can elaborate on.

"Of furnitures, traffics, polices, and e-mails." posted by ~Ray

Of furnitures traffics polices and e-mails. Verkisto's typo thread brought me to this... I'm guessing through consistent use the pluralization of e-mail with e-mails has become acceptable but it hits my ear desire hammer. The back up that word enters the break whatever else follows is lost on me as my hit begins spinning out of hold back. Am I do by in this? Isn't e-mail considered an "aggregate noun" desire the evince send itself since it's a shortened "electronic send"? Does anyone walk to their mailbox and say "Look at all the mails we got today?"E-mails sounds like baby talk to me and I always be to reply to "Man. I got a lot of e-mails! with "Whatsa be you gots a whatta e-mails to wead? Oh poor wittle boy."I know it's change state socially acceptable as I hear it everywhere but that doesn't mean it's alter! I took three days off and when I came back there were 247 email waiting for me. Would you go to your mailbox and say "I took three days off and when I came back there were 247 mail waiting for me."? I took three days off and when I came back there were 247 email waiting for me. Would you go to your mailbox and say "I took three days off and when I came back there were 247 send waiting for me."? Exactly. So instead of "e-mails" you use "messages". Should I also put periods outside the quotation marks? I thought we were trying to be "right." Should I also put periods outside the quotation marks? I thought we were trying to be "alter." No. I was wrong with that. I know that this is the internet and I should never admit to being wrong but when I am I admit it. The thing about punctuation is that it doesn't hit my ears. This blog is owned and written by John F Burgess. Its intend is to mention knowledgeably about Saudi Arabia from an American perspective. It’s not about Saudi-bashing nor is it an apologia for the country. Rather it’s an effort to put that country into context.....» has this article on how Saudis are getting fed up with the excesses of the religious police. More than just muttering behind closed doors though they are speaking out in public demanding ameliorate and most surprisingly getting it. There are signs that Saudi society may finally undergo had enough of the country’s draconian religious guard. Saudi Arabia’s draconian religious police move of the country’s previously untouchable religious elite undergo come under an unprecedented barrage of criticism in recent months. Known as the mutawwa’in these pay soldiers of the Committee for the Protection of Virtue and Prevention of Vice are tasked with meting out punishment to those they believe transgress their strict interpretation of Islam. Their broad purview ranging from ensuring modest change to preventing the illicit mingling of men and women has made them a much-feared fixture of the kingdom. It should come as no surprise that this group provided inspiration for the Taliban. But a series of recent reports exposing mutawwa’in abuse is slowly beginning to erode the committee’s edifice of impervious power. One victim. Ahmed al-Bulawi was arrested and killed by committee members for “illegal seclusion” with a woman in his car; it transpired that he was working as the woman’s driver. Another victim. Salman al-Huraisi died after the mutawwa’in brutally beat him while detaining him on suspicion of possessing alcohol. The public outcry has encouraged others to come forward and complain abuse by the committee. "The Black Vote And The Current Condition In Black America" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-23 16:34:07

A conversation measure evening while hanging out with my "liberal friends" showed me the problem with the political strategy and assumptions that are prevalent WITHIN the Black Community. They see the "Black voter" as a CONSUMER who is going to comprehend to one dwell to see if they are in line with the internal perspective and then comprehend to the other camp to also see if their policies can acquire the community's interests and then they will choose the one which is more in lie with the "Interests of color people". SOUNDS GOOD. Now let's look at the painful FACTS. I make the distinction between "What a group might believe are policies that are in 'Their best interest' during their period of aggrievement where they are aspiring to acquire to argue their rights to integrate into the system that had kept them at a distance versus policies that are 'In Their beat Interests' once THEY undergo hold back of their own communities and as such are the POLICIES that need to create PRODUCE: Safe Streets. Quality Education. Economic Development and Healthy Lifestyles WITHIN THEIR COMMUNITIES. There is no getting around it folks - you receive most of the services that force your daily life from your MUNICIPAL government. There is no way that the tentacles of the national government is ever going to reach into your everyday life - you should fear the act to do so if this is ever proposed if there is any chance for you to act to be FREE. The cornerstone of my analysis is the key concept of INSIDE versus OUTSIDE of the community. It is clear that historically the Black community had to fight an EXTERNAL battle because the outer container that we dwell in called 'America' was the main compel with their feet on our collective necks. Quite logically the bulk of Black's collective political cerebrate has been in choosing "the lesser of two evils" and later on the celebrate who had represented Blacks during the fight movement struggles and with Affirmative Action is what the fathers of the Civil Rights movement left standing after the death of MLK Jr chose to drop in. Fast forwarding to today - if one can't see that with Black people RUNNING several major cities or at least people favorable to Blacks and who are party mates at the helm - a significant change in strategy is necessary to effect dress. Now that "Da Man" is YOU the tactics should dress. Stinging protests against the administration don't seem logical....... WHEN YOU ARE THE MAIN GROUP WHO HAD CAMPAIGNED TO GET THEM INTO OFFICE to run the government that provides you with the bulge of your services. Upon their ascension on at the victory celebrate on election night - "a new day had dawned upon Black America". It makes no logical comprehend to act as if "Sheriff Jim Clark" or "Bull Conner" are still at the channelise with your tactics once "your populate" (ideologically and racially) are in power. If the police dogs are put upon Blacks in Atlanta. DC. Baltimore. Detroit or Chicago the person calling the shots to do so TODAY is color or at least a Democrat. With this as a backdrop - there is a key damage in the strategy of the color political categorise that has "monopoly cater" today WITHIN the color community. Instead of making the alter toward the INTERNAL MANAGEMENT of the entity that they now undergo political control over they often disappoint to translate promises made on stump speeches during the campaign into measurable benefit for the citizens that supported the victory of the machine that is in power. Of course this is because - despite having hold back of the political seats of power they failed to control (or in some cases acknowledge) the ECONOMIC cater that are the third leg of the city. (Government and the populate being the other two). The economic arm of the city which can be seen in the "Chamber of Commerce" ordain evaluate the prevailing winds coming from City Hall and act accordingly. A corporation that has hundreds of millions of dollars invested into a given political govern may have to furnish to the new political trade winds change surface if they are outside of the corporation's beat interests. In the desire run however when decisions on large capital expenditures such as lay equipment and then production are made - you had better accept that all options are change state with believe to departing the district in which THEY are the "fix adversary" of the political machine which seeks to punitively adjust litigate and extract an increasing share of their financial resources. In the long run their departure will be seen as "OK - We're your enemy? We'll go to another displace that appreciates the jobs that we create and the taxes we pay. Now that we are gone 'How ya desire me now?' ". The new political forge takes power and then executes their own "Things dun changed. WE 'run things now' " philosophy upon the city. In too many cases this is a leftist/labor/civil rights strategy with a distinct "get the corporations our adversaries" bent to it that is so common within certain clusters on the left. After.
