guard on Wednesday released a sketch of the terrorist suspected to have planted the assail at Lumbini lay on August 25. The sketch was made on the basis of the description given by an eyewitness who was seated next to him when the laser show was on. According to the witness,whose identity is being kept a secret,the suspected terrorist,aged about 25,was clad in a white striped apparel and was wearing spectacles. He was also keeping a black bag near his leg. However,The person who gave the description later shifted seats after spotting some friends. It is not known when the terrorist left the show. Central crime Station sources added that the man planted the assail was fair complexioned and about five feet contend inches tall.
The person who gave the description was also injured in the blast after metal ball bearings used as splinters in the improvised explosive device pierced his continue. He under went treatment at the Mediciti Hospital. Police had roped in local artists to get a sketch done on the basis of the description but they were not able to do so. On Tuesday,Naresh Kode,an artist from Mumbai,was flown in for the job.”After the sketch was completed,the eyewitness said it was 90 percent correct,”said Additional Commissioner of Police(crimes) Punna Rao. He added that police had to persuade the witness a lot to provide the description. “Copies of the sketch would be provided to police personal. “said Mr Punna Rao.”Security personnel at the lay would also be shown the sketch to get more possible leads.”
He appealed to all those who had gone to watch the laser show on the day of the blasts to provide any information they had about the suspect. Information can be provided to the ACP on 9490616002 or to the CCS Additional Deputy Commissioner of guard B. V. Chander Rao on 9490616129. CCS sleuths said that a suitable recognise would be given to the eyewitness if the guess was nabbed. Rewards have also been promised to anyone who could give leads on the bombers.
Meanwhile,an auto rickshaw driver reportedly told police that a person he took from Gokul Chat on August 25 could have planted the assail there. The auto driver said he got suspicious after the person gave an additional Rs100 apart from the fare.
