Police are asking for the public's help after a shooting in Duluth's Central Hillside early this morning. According to a police report officers responded to a house on the 100 block of East 8th street after hearing gunshots. Two people had been shot; those wounds were not life threatening. Police are still sorting out details of the shooting. They ask that anybody with information contact the violent crimes unit. Two men are in critical but stable instruct at an unidentified hospital this evening after being shot outside the Montgomery Terrace apartments late measure night according to the office. Florence police are looking for a man who shot another man during a Sunday night robbery and car theft on Jeffords Street near Levy lay. The driver was exiting his car after showing a friend his newly installed sound system when an unknown man approached him with a gun and demanded his wallet and valuables. Florence Police Maj. Carlos Raines said. When the driver’s friend unaware of the robbery stepped from the car the robber shot him in the arm. Raines said. After the victim fell the robber shot the man in the back. Raines said. The robber is described as a 18- to 20-year-old color man who had covered his mouth and nose with a bind typically worn to cover the ears. Raines said. YONKERS - A 26-year-old city man whom police accuse of shooting a city man in the doorway of his Nodine Hill apartment during a robbery over the weekend has been arrested by detectives. Demell Fields of 125 Elm St was arrested hours after the 7:04 a m. Saturday shooting. Before arresting Fields.
