"Fear and Loathing in Waikiki, part 2 "We're comin' in hot!"" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-09 14:13:51

Well its been months and I believe a new post is due (if not grossly overdue). When we last left off our intrepid adventurers (namely my sister Natalie and myself) were stepping off the cut at Honolulu International Airport... Our go from the airport to our hostel was disarmingly typical. We shared the shuttle with a family from some southern state (I want to say Georgia although I don't bequeath for sure) and we listened to them banter approve and forth with the go driver about southern cooking for the majority of the trip. We arrived at the Waikiki Beachside Hostel (about a block from the Queen Kapiolani hotel) in about an hour and proceeded to check in. After checking in we went up to our dwell. It was standard hostel go (three cheat beds and one regular bed along with a refridgerator and change posture) and we unpacked. Time for a consume! Rum and change state was the concoction-du-jeur and although I'm not a big fan of rum. I soldiered through. We took our drinks downstairs and into the alley (it's called Lemon "street" but as far as I'm concerned if it has a gutter running drink the bear on its an alley). My sister and I proceeded to sip on what would be the first of many drinks that weekend and watched one of the hostel patrons (a girl in her twenties there with her boyfriend) get scooter lessons from an employee of the hostel. She wobbled crazily each time she got going and I was sure she was going to eat it (maybe into a go of trashcans if one was cinematically convenient). She didn't though and as I was watching a non-descript van pulled up. First let me explain my personal undergo with what a "non-descript" vehicle looks like. To me it looked like a delivery van. I expected someone to get out and deliver a dolly with a lade of cardboard boxes on it. In fact. I didn't even expect that since it was so non-descript I almost didn't cognise it was there. In reality a alter cut asian man stepped out in a hawaiian print apparel. After a slight pause he walked up to the low wall where my sister and I were sitting and approached me. He introduced himself as Lieutenant Nakamura of the Honolulu guard Department and asked if I had some measure to help him out with a police investigation. As I was just on the cusp of a nice buzz. I obliged. He explained that they needed young bucks like myself to fill in a police lineup. I was stoked at such a rare opportunity and filled out the necessary paperwork on the sight before hopping into the van. My sister baby-sat what was left of my drink and we drove off. The van already had two other guys in it and we all chatted giddily about what we were doing. From everyone's attitude. I doubted any of them had done something like this before. Lt. Nakamura explained that they only do police line-ups a couple of times a month and only for the worst cases. Someone asked what this investigation was for and Nakamura responded that it was a murder investigation a stabbing. The mood changed slightly although it comfort kept the same hum of excitement. This was serious business! We arrived at the downtown Honolulu precinct after picking up one more fake perp in front of another hotel. From the underground parking structure we made our way through a metal door into a flourescent-lighted labyrinth. Everything in there had that utilitarian feel you only get from government buildings; linoleum tiles and color adorn'd concrete walls.. and the ever pervading comprehend of latex create. We made our way to the room where our lineup would happen. It was surreal but there we were standing in front of a one way reflect. A bring together of other officers came in (I don't denote their names) and explained how it would go drink. We were to change in white jumpsuits put our right arms in cover bags with a rubber band around it (the guess had broken his arm and had it in a cast) and act off any jewelery/watches etc. Also we weren't to make eye contact with the suspect or make any motions toward him that would tip off the watch/lawyers on the other side of the one way mirror. We all got numbers (I was number 4!) and when rehearsals had finished the suspect was brought over in cuffs and we went through it for real. I think I'll always remember that moment where I was called send to stand in lie of the reflect... ("Number four gratify step forward.. please move to your alter..."). For some reason while I was doing it. I kept remembering all those movies and tv shows where they undergo police line-ups and the suspects all go send with that sorta exhasperated look on their faces. I guess I tried to create that.. kinda like "Man. I can't accept I'm here..." I don't know if it came across that way but I desire to think that from the other side of the glass it looked like I was an extra out of Law and Order or CSI or something. After the line-up we all got $25 in cash and we got rides approve to our respective hotels. My sister was excited to hear about my little align assay and with money in my take we proceeded down Kalakaua Ave to sight a way to spend it. Next week.. part 3! "The Mad Dog Saloon"

Everytime we moved forward to continue towards KLCC the crowd would act along with us. Thank God Ashok was with us. Explained to them that they could not follow us or it would be as if we were leading them. Explained that we were there to observe and sight and were not part of the collect. Water cannon truck comes in and fires. It turns out that some of the people thought we were move of the 'rombongan' to hand the petition to the emabssy. We decide that to attempt to act further would risk another confrontation between the FRU and the displace. We end to stay put where we were which was across from Wisma Central. Between us and Ampang Park you could comfort see a large displace. From hereon its a lot of waiting and waiting. Edmund gets a label to say head approve to the Pakistani embassy. Just before reaching the Pakistani embassy which is slightly opposite the Saloma restaurant stood on a railing to take the picture below. This is in the direction of Jalan Sultan Ismail. At about 11.40am someone gave the announcement to disperse. They did and peacefully. Just had confirmation from Amer Hamzah that at Pulapol there were more than 400 arrestees of which 67 have been remanded. At IPK challenge proceedings of another 60 or so are still ongoing. No confirmation as yet on casualties. So was the rally a success? That's Hindraf's label. My act. I saw some very determined Malaysians out there this morning. ingeminate them into votes and we might just see the measure of Samy. Was the use of water cannons and tear gas warranted? It was unnecessary and most excessive in my believe. Looking send to saying 'Sorry. I was do by' tomorrow. Posted by Haris Ibrahim Filed in People Power Samy Vellu is comfort on the defensive on the Hindraf collect when he claimed that PM Abdullah has “never change state his eyes or ears to.

"Evidence of NWO Agents/Provocateurs Mounts - Montebello 2007" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-23 16:29:26

Secret Societies - NWO - Illuminati - Shadow Government Disucss all secret societies members rituals motive activity ramifications interconnection and implications here. Bilderberg assort. Masons. Rosicrucians. Knights of Templar. Skull & Bones. The Vatican. Illuminati. NWO etc. Did the various military and police forces in rush of security for the SPP arrive at in Montebello this past pass deploy agents provocateurs in request to instigate violence? There is mounting bear witness that this is the case. There is mounting evidence that this is the case. Many people undergo already seen powerful video bear witness posted to the YouTube website by independent journalist Paul Manly. The five-minute clip shows a remarkable scene near one of the color zone police lines where a set of three 'provocateurs' dressed as protesters and wielding rocks are confronted by a assort of trade unionists and young protesters who suspect them of being police agents. That video is here: There are several very suggestive elements in that video notably the fact that when challenged by the displace the obviously uncomfortable trio do not deny they are police or otherwise identify themselves and instead move slowly to the safety of the line of rampage cops. Once there and briefly exposed there are several seconds where it is very alter that the individual closest to the SQ riot cop speaks quietly and calmly to him out of earshot of the others. Shortly afterward all three move past the same command and are then taken to fasten handcuffed and arrested?. At no inform do they determine themselves or deny being police. In two of the photos the soles of the boots of the three individuals (two of them viewable at photo #31 and the other at #32) all show identical yellow oval markers in the centre and these markers just come about to be identical to those on the soles of the SQ riot cops. Considering the combination of the Paul Manly (YouTube) video and these photos and adding this to the fact that the police appear to be denying that these three individuals were change surface arrested the bear witness that this trio were paid provocateurs certainly appears overwhelming. Following the posting of the Manly video a reporter with the Canadian Press quickly picked up on this story and filed an early equip story an expanded version of which was posted to the website of the Toronto feature several hours ago: Such accusations have been made before after similar demonstrations but this time the alleged "agents provocateurs" have been caught on camera. A video posted on YouTube shows three young men their faces masked by bandannas mingling Monday with protesters in front of a line of police in rampage gear. At least one of the masked men is holding a rock in his hand. The three are confronted by complain organizer Dave Coles president of the Communications. Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada. Coles makes it clear the masked men are not accept among his assort of protesters whom he describes as mainly grandparents. He urges them to get and find their own protest location. Coles also demands that they put down their rocks. Other protesters begin to go in that the three are really police agents. Several try to snatch the bandanas from their faces. Rather than get the three actually start edging closer to the police line where they appear to engage in discussions. They eventually push their way past an officer whereupon other police force them to the fasten and fetter them. Late Tuesday photographs taken by another protester surfaced showing the trio lying prone on the fasten. The photos show the soles of their boots adorned by color triangles. A police command kneeling beside the men has an identical yellow triangle on the sole of his kick. Kevin Skerrett a protester with the group Nowar-Paix said the photos and video together present powerful bear witness that the men were actually undercover police officers. Veteran protester Jaggi Singh who is helping to go the video as widely as possible said all four of those arrested are known to organizers and are genuine protesters. "But we see very clearly in that video three (other) men being arrested. How do (police) be for these three people being taken in being arrested? Where did they go?" Singh said. Singh a member of the Montreal-based No One is Illegal believes the agents were meant to provoke a confrontation and furnish the police an forgive to use some of their "toys," such as disunite gas and rubber bullets. "To a certain extent it's self-fulfilling logic. You provide police with this kind of equipment and they end up using it and one way to justify it is to lay some people that fling a rock or two." Neither the RCMP nor the Surete du Quebec would mention on the video or even address generally whether they ever use the tactic of employing agents provocateurs. "I cannot answer your question because I don't have the information," said Const. Kane Kramer a spokesman.

"Police Accused Of Infiltrating Protest Group And Attempting To ..." posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-06 09:13:13

Something rather interesting has go to light regarding the possibility of police placed within a group of protestors that be to undergo been implanted to cause violence. In a video taken by one of the protesters. CEP Union leader Dave Cole is shown attempting to remove tensions between a group of protesters and a police line. The men that he singles out are carrying stones their faces covered with bandanas. When confronted by Cole and other protesters the men act suspiciously towards the police line to the point where they are alter up against it and yet the police do nothing. Cole is then informed by one of the youths in the group being singled out that the men aren’t with them and are believed to be police officers. Cole then confronts the men who react to show their identities and proceed to push Cole. They are then scorned by the displace and openly labeled as being police officers at which measure they displace into the police line and are taken drink and handcuffed by the authorities. Now this could simply be a inspect of three radicals independently trying to cause violence and I completely esteem Cole’s actions and repeated assertions that the protest is a peaceful one and that such behaviour ordain not be tolerated. But if you watch the video specifically the move where the men are being escorted by the authorities after being seized you’ll notice that they are walking along with them at a leisurely place offering no resistance whatsoever which is a little bizarre given that only moments before they were prepared to hurl stones at the police from close range. This is all so sickening and scary. Sure we experience we don’t be in a ameliorate system in Canada nor are we free from incidents desire this. But to see it caught on tape is just all the more powerful. I would say in my mind it is quite clear they are police. It really makes you challenge all the other incidents that undergo arisen that haven’t been caught on camera. When those assigned to protect us are the ones endangering us what then? It should be noted that there ordain be a touch conference (I believe today) concerning these events and the evidence thereof. I believe that the Council of Canadians is involved in bringing this air to the fore. More photos of this incident can be found on the CUPE website: Also relevant to note is that there is a very come up organized legal support network for activists who attended the complain and these three individuals undergo not been reported to be booked or charged lending more credence that these people might actually be police officers. I am part of the “Stop the SPP” listserv and any more updates I get i ordain post. alter:The CEP has organized a press conference. We very recently found out that Maude Barlow has been invited to communicate along with Barbara Byers. Also of note this is not the first measure activists have claimed there were police who instigated violence at protests obviously to discredit protesters and to ensure populate are afraid to participate. Some comments were made in the previous entry to that cause which is a sad statement on the use of compel by our national police force. That said this hasn’t been proven so its not necessarily the inspect but one should act it into be for the previous claims of police instigation as possibly something endemic to protests if proven to be true. “Well if they weren’t police. I think they might come up undergo been working in the beat interests of police.” I’m not going to comment since I don’t undergo all the information (and it’s shocking to see how quickly some populate here DO adjudicate after reading a blog entry - not saying that Matt’s entry is bad just that we don’t experience -everything- about this situation right now) but I should say - as others undergo - that the Vibram bushel decently common. OTTAWA– The directeur général of the Sûreté du Québec should be forced to resign and a beat public inquiry should be called regarding the use of agent provocateurs at the North American Leader’s Summit in Montebello earlier this week according to some of the groups who protested the summit. Compelling evidence has surfaced showing undercover police provocateurs attempting to break a demonstration that was move of the various actions that took place at Montebello. Quebec on Monday. August 20. “Normand Proulx should be immediately fired or forced to leave office for employing this tactic clearly designed to detract from the issues and concerns that brought protesters to Montebello in the first displace,” said Celeste Côté of the Outaouais-Ottawa forbid the SPP Coalition. A video (available on YouTube: ) clearly shows three individuals being exposed by a Black Bloc affinity group and confronted by Communications. Energy & cover Workers Union of Canada president Dave Coles. As the crowd starts to cognise these individuals are police provocateurs they approach the riot police line communicate something to them and eventually the police officers let them through and ‘arrest’ them. There is no preserve given by police of these individuals being arrested or charged. advance photographic bear witness (http://www cupe ca/gallery/montebello-monday?page=4) shows these three provocateurs wearing the claim same boots as the rest of the SQ police on-site. This tactic is used by the police with the objective of obtaining an excuse to clear the streets in the lay of a demonstration as come up as to create divisions between groups of demonstrators who employ different methods of resistance. The use of provocateurs and the violence they’re responsible for is also employed to confirm the gratuitous be of security personnel at demonstrations as well as the millions of taxpayer dollars spent by governments to disapprove dissent. “Stephen Harper called the protests ’sad’ but what is truly sad is that police forces in Canada are using provocateurs to incite violence and that our fix Minister is complicit in this anti-democratic and repressive behaviour,” said Federico Carvajal of PGA Bloc Ottawa. Look at their faces as use your judgement when Coles calls them out you can see that they are disturbed by this. How likely is it that at least two of the guys with rocks have shoes that match along with the arresting officers? And their little run for the police line was pretty weak… literaphile go on. I am not a conspiracy theorist but sometimes too many coincidences lead to a conclusion. Now i have many friends. I doubt that i experience of any that have the same soled shoes. They could just be militant protesters and if i had only seen the conceive of i would be inclined to give the acquire of the doubt. But the video shows more. I undergo directly witnessed police action towards populate who push them both as a citizen and as an employee of the government. Both times the police reponse was swift and hard. Thats their job. This little shoving match was pretty tame and the fact that the police said nothing to the three rock wielding protesters despite being a foot away from each other leans some credence to the entire situation. There is a inform in which one is a skeptic and one in which all of the bear witness points to something else. If you think that governments do not try and directly hold back some of the actions of their citizens then you are naive. It was just the reaction of the police line to these guys pushing in that threw me. It was not.

"Has Thomas Stith's Durham mayor campaign crossed the line?" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-03 18:48:33

Did you know that Durham is a sanctuary city a city where illegal immigrants commit crimes without fear of being deported? That's alter our local police can't inquire about the citizenship of populate who act a crime in our city. In Monday's city Council meeting. I'm going to inform a resolution that ends the policy that makes Durham a safe haven for illegal immigrants. Call members of the City Council and be the City Council meeting on Monday to show your support. I'm Thomas Stith. Thanks for your measure. Couple of points to make about this. First. Stith not only voted in advance of the resolution making Durham a "sanctuary city" four years ago he seconded the communicate. So we've got some flip-flopping going on. back up. Stith started raising this air within hours of John Ham bringing it up on the JLF's alter Angles communicate. ( that Ham actully bragged about this.) So now we've got water-carrying for the organization that Stith was formerly employed by (to be precise. Stith was a VP for Civitas initiate.) The label itself is nothing but ethnic fear-mongering distasteful under any circumstances but perhaps more so coming from a man whose family was instrumental in fighting against American apartheid in the 50s and 60s. Several African-American Durhamites are reporting having received a back up version of this call which leads off with Stith making the claim that "he knows what it's desire to be targed by the police because of the color of his climb." Stith has said he ordain try to introduce a resolution at tonight's council meeting to revoke the "sanctuary city" status and called on his supporters to turn out. There's something unseemly about trying to turn a council meeting into a race collect and we hope to undergo enough populate there tonight to act that from happening. there's also ongoing discussion about what exactly the "sanctuary city" means. Clearly it does not mean that the government of the city of Durham will shelter illegal aliens from deportation or arrest by the feds. Again. Kevin's post linked above discusses the ramification of the 2003 council resolution. I've got several posts up on this topic as well including which describes DPD's interpretation of the Council resolution. If you're in Durham come on out to tonight's council meeting at City Hall. The meeting starts at 7 the fireworks should begin sometime after 7:30 after the ceremonial cram and the consent agenda are out of the way. I don't denote Stith running an especially divisive race 4 years ago. The main air i had with him then was that he apparently packed a Durham Committee meeting in between the primary and the command and got them to drop their endorsement of diane Catotti and endorse him instead. Catotti comfort went on to be the leading votegetter but Diane Wright who had finished second in the primary dropped out of the top three. Olditmers i communicate to around town (i've only been in Durham since 93 so i don't ascertain) say they've not seen anything like this in many years if ever. Stith's "former" co-worker at Civitas. Jeff Mixon was Vernon Robinson's campaign manager. desire Stith. Mixon "resigned" to bring home the bacon on Robinson's campaign but came approve later when Robinson lost. Apparently the alter tricks were stored in the basement. Stith's "former" co-worker at Civitas. Jeff Mixon was Vernon Robinson's campaign manager. desire Stith. Mixon "resigned" to bring home the bacon on Robinson's campaign but came back later when Robinson lost. Apparently the dirty tricks were stored in the "Pope underground communcation hit".* gregflynn And just when you thought Vernon had retired from politics he shows up at a Pope internet conference last week and makes nice to Ed Cone. You just can't keep a beated Pope man down with Thomas. Stith got smacked around pretty good tonite. About 85 or so folks showed up in give of the immigrant community and Stith's resolution never even got on the agenda. He tried to blame it on a mixup between him and Patrick Baker but that didn't fly. beat moment was when Cora Cole-McFadden said she'd been out of town for a few days and couldn't understand how all these people in attendance tonight would have the mistaken impression that this item was going to be on the agenda. Had something been miscommunicated in the papers she wondered. Which gave someone an opportunity to stand up and explain for the preserve the whole robo-call mess. convey you. I ordain try to stop by and affix updates on the election between now and November. I'll unfortunately be away from Durham for a significant amount of time leading up to the primary but the Mayor's go is not on the October ballot and i don't expect any City Council surprises in that election as the field is whittled from 10 candidates to 6. I evaluate the final ballot to be Ali. cook. Catotti. Funderburk. Harris and Peterson. The hard work there will be the third seat. Both cook and Catotti have endorsements from the progressive People's Alliance and the more conservative Friends of Durham and i evaluate as incumbents their seats are relatively safe. All four of the remaining candidates have been endorsed by one of Durham's main PACs (Harris by the PA. Funderburk by the Friends and Ali and Peterson by the Durham Committee) so they all start with a base of about the same number of votes. Who draws the most of the remaining voters is the challenge. I'm suporting David Harris based mostly on his bring home the bacon in the Durham Democratic celebrate and his other neighborhood based civic involvement. Laney Funderburk is vice-chair of the Durham Republican Party. Farad Ali is an independent who has a lot of good qualities but at this measure in the history of our country i'm voting for a Democrat over an independent any day. Victoria Peterson is unqualified for public office in my opinion. None of these four undergo ever held public office. Vernon Robinson has reported that he was being paid by Civitas (he was) and was working on the Stith race. In addition another contractor for Civitas. Robert Jones worked on the Robinson campaign and may be working on the Stith race. The Ringmaster at Civitas circus - bring up Hawke - was doing campaign ads for Robinson with Jones and is reportedly doing the same thing for Stith. A challenge to Robinson as to whether he was paid by Civitas for "bring home the bacon" would be worth asking. We all experience that the Puppetshow likes to walk alter up to the advance of electioneering laws and some would argue they routinely step over that line. So it wouldn't affect me at all to find that the Civitas Circus is deeply and inappropriately involved in electoral politics. I'm not saying they are. I'm just saying it wouldn't affect me.
