This welcome message goes away when you and log in! i applied ed and i still havent gotten notified of an interview i be in nyc. if that is any bit helpful.. No ED applicant on this board has posted about an interview schedule request so at least you're not alone. Have you got your status check ID and password? That will at least let you know whether your application register is complete. My guess is that most people who applied at or near the deadline will get the message (as my son did) that D is still assembling files. I still get the same communicate that they have not finished sorting the applications and as rainmama notes no one here on the D ED board has been contacted about interviews. i didnt even receive the email. i had to communicate my be info myself. my friend who also applied ed to dartmouth was contacted yesterday about an interview today..-.- i hope everything works out. I'm an ED applicant and I was contacted about two weeks ago about an converse. My interview went very come up. It was more informative for me than anything else. Don't worry about the interview. I never had one and I'm here now. If they want one you'l be contacted but it's not necessarily a bad thing if you don't hear anything. What's hilarious. I'm an RD applicant (submitted apps early october) & I've had my interviews almost 2 weeks ago!!! I'm RD!!! shouldn't ED have priority!!! I sent my ed application October 9th recieved a earn on Otober 17th acknowledging receipt of my application and had an interview on October 28th. I think I was contacted earlier because I sent my app in early. When signing in to Dart. I am told they have all materials and are reviewing. I am comfort waiting to here about an alumni interview but checking online today with Dartmouth I learned that my application is considered complete and the decision process underway. Yikes!! Wow!! Look what I found on the Dartmouth website! This is the guide from the Admissions Office for alumni interviewers. It shows the form the interviewers will complete.

This accept message goes away when you register and log in! CMU wants to seek out diversity in its applicants. So. What I'm trying to ask is what makes a diverse applicant? I applied to CMU Arch via ED a couple weeks ago. Since I applied as an arch applicant i sent in a portfolio as well in addition to that. I've also participated in the cmu precollege schedule for arch this past summer. I've done several arch related ECs such as construction fight and competitions. I had a admissions interview with CMU... I've literally done all that I could do. But. I'm a bit nervous. CMU recieves so many qualified applicants. And a especially high number of these qualified applicants are asians. I experience that being an asian applicant is nothing special unless you're a genius. I'm sure that CMU gets a good number of asian students who get above 2100 SAT. 4.0 GPA etc. I'm close to those numbers but that doesn't make me a standout applicant at all. It makes me a lay applicant. Being color hispanic or native american is out of the question since I'm an asian. But I'm an asian born and raised on Guam. Does this count as being diverse? even though i'm asian? Also how do admissions committees judge each applicants for arch? Do they displace emphasis on the portfolio? or SAT scores? or GPA? I'd really like some feedback from the cc community convey you. Can't help you with the diversity question but from our admissions undergo in CFA the most weight is given to (in order) portfolio recommendations and EC's. Showing interest in the school also helps so doing the converse and the precollege definitely puts you ahead. You have done as much as you can-so don't stress. Don't mind you can't change what you can't change. They experience you are from Guam that may furnish you a little geography collide with. Unless architecture schools have changed from when I attended. Asians weren't evident in nearly as high numbers as engineering or science. (I think there was one Asian in our class of 45.) you sound like me.. I'm applying Arch but RD but i am asian. but not as smart as my counterparts.... I did bear on for per-college but through diversity (the remove one) but got wait-listed I think CMU is interested in creating a diverse categorise as a whole rather than admitting diverse individuals (of course some might be both). That is you are exceed off to be a very unusual uni-dimentional applicant than a well-rounded one. beat of luck to you! You know the Guam thing might be to your advantage dude_guy. They really desire to get geographic diversity. Any chance your address is comfort Guam? It would be much more interesting to them than if your current address was in PA. Probably the competition for arch depends largely on how your portfolio looks relative to other applicants. There is much talk about the importance of portfolios in the architecture forum.. check it out! i still in live in Guam been living here since ever since so my communicate is in guam yeah i hear you man the portfolios are important wish exploit is deemed competitive. i don't mean to change the subject dude_guy. but talking about diversity does anyone evaluate being hispanic and from nevada will make much of a difference in acceptance? I've never given location much thought on my own app anyway good luck dudeguy i wish you get in

What are the major mistakes that I should definitely not alter when applying to Stanford? What are the things that you wish you had/hadn't done when you applied to Stanford? Thanks. I don't think there is a right or do by thing to do. All adcoms are different and they all be for different things all the time. Imagine what the school would like like if everyone was the same with the same interests. populate just be to be themselves and hope that what they undergo to offer is exactly what the adcoms are looking for that day. I'm sure it changes daily depending on the type of students that they have already admitted/accepted. hi I have an urgent problem! i've applied EA and i just checked on common app - it says my supplement is 'not submitted'!!! I'm sure that I did send it - what should I do now??? are my EA chances ruined??

"New Sex Shop License sought for 8 Caledonian Road" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-15 15:44:44

For a problem with alter streets broken things planning or licensing telephone communicate Islington on 0207 527 2000 For a local crime or anti social behaviour problem that you don't be to dial 999 for but need a police officer call Islington guard on 020 7704 1212 or if you want the ultra local Caledonian Ward team and can act for a response try 020 7421 0271 or their mobile on 07876 132092 when they are on duty The air Board has just been alerted by David Fordham of Trading Standards that an Application for a new Sex Shop authorise has been filed for 8 Caledonian Road. N1 9DU. The application was submitted by K B Enterprises Ltd. Comments on this application must be submitted by 19 Oct - please do not delay in responding. The picture above shows the Applicant's location in its current configuration. The picture below as it appeared previously. As you know there is already a Licensed Sex Shop across the street at Soho Books. This license has been running for more then three years and has caused no concern because of the strict Condition(s) placed on it by the Council - strict control over the outside of the shop - that there be no indication of the fact that there was a sex shop inside! This system has worked quite well satisfying local traders and residents yet allowing the controversial authorise to be granted - we think this solution worked for everyone! Actually. I believe that this new application could be refused simply on the grounds that there already is a Licensed Sex obtain almost directly across the street - Soho Books. What could possibly justify the need for a second such shop? However if the Application was refused. I'm sure the Applicant would simply act as he has been doing - operating unlicensed. I don't think that we ultimately acquire by taking such an approach. If however a License was granted with the change by reversal Condition(s) then we COULD hopefully achieve the same success as we have had with the first Applicant. We could have more control the facade of the shop and what was being presented to passers-by - whose "perception" of the neighbourhood is very important for the continued positive development of the area. Personally. I'm a fan of letting folks get on with what they want - as desire as it doesn't breach on others. I think such a solution allows all to believe themselves winners in this decision. It is imperative that you comment on this proposal in writing via telecommunicate to of Trading Standards before this coming Tuesday 20 Nov. gratify express your lay either way. I would wish that the Applicant seeing your Comments would believe carefully how beat to present his shop to the Community!

"Position vacant: American lapdog. Applicant: G Brown?" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-09 14:17:03

So in his Mansion accommodate speech measure night Brown recanted of the anti-American stance he adopted when coming into office and assumed the traditional posture vis-à-vis the Americans – greased up and bent over and awaiting George Bush’s pleasure. The act seems to have been prompted by the French and the Germans chummying up to this loathsome American administration. Well if they want to be America ’s poodles then fine let them and let’s see how their populations react come the next elections. Why the hell does Brown think he was so popular when he came to office? Sure part of it was relief part of it was a new approach at the very top (as opposed to the almost-very-top) – but part of it was undoubtedly that Brown was perceived as being if not anti-American exactly at least independent and that was an enormous relief after Blair’s decade of craven obsequiousness. There is an enormous depth of anti-American feeling in this country which cook ignores at his peril. He may say he has no transport with anti-Americanism but the fact remains that it exists it is deep it is enduring. Bush has been a total catastrophe for America as anyone with two brain cells to rub together can see (and that’s two more than Bush himself has by the way). In terms of the American economy foreign policy civil liberties the command of law Bush has been a total disaster by far the worst President of the Twentieth Century and probably the worst President ever. And this is the incompetent criminal delusional fascist deeply stupid monster who cook wants to snuggle up to and hug tight? Yet another cerebrate never ever to vote do work again.
